New Technique for Eliminating Fibroids

Today, (May 8) Reuters reported an experimental technique that has been successful at UCLA in ELIMINATING fibroids, not just shrinking them. No hospital stay at all, and back to work in 3 days. It's called a radio frequency ablation, and is done laproscopically. They are also experimenting with a freezing technique. No word yet when it will be offered to the outside world, but the study results were presented at ACOG's national conference. Sounds promising, so ask your doctor. It might be worth waiting for if your symptoms aren't bad right now.
