More post-op trouble

Hi everyone,

I need some advice from anyone who has had long-term trouble healing. I'm almost 7 months post-op and took three months to heal the vaginal cuff. All was well until I developed a granuloma three weeks ago, which the nurse prac snipped off because it was bleeding. Then I developed a bladder infection, which seems to be gone.

After waiting two weeks for intercourse, I had some pink bleeding again, along with some soreness. The nurse prac said I can wait until next week if I want to see if it persists or not. I'm afraid to have intercourse again yet, but then again, maybe I need to "stretch out" again.

Please, anybody who has had similar problems, please tell me how you handled this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I'd really appreciate some prayers.

In love,

Laura

Laura,
I don't have any experience with the problems you describe. However, I do have lots of ers and s to send your way.

I can understand your apprehension, I would be apprehensive too. I would wait until you feel comfortable.

Hi Laura

I have gone thru a lot of what you are talking about and I can try to help and offer suggestions only...

I have had tremendous probs with my cuff and hopefully this time have it cured...time will tell.

In my experience the pink spotting/bleeding after relations has been the granulation. If you do a search you will find many posts about this. sometimes it takes several treatments of silver nitrate to heal it for some ladies. If it is a persistent problem I personally would ask my doc to find the cause this far post on why it won't heal. In my case We found an underlying problem that was contributing it. There can be many reasons granulation continues...I have read where it is more likely to heal if waiting longer for realtions to resume between treatments...two weeks might not be long enough for you. Everyone heals a little differently.

Please discuss this with your doc more fully and see what he/she suggests at this point...at 7 months post after several treatments I would think she would be willing to investagatie further.

hope this helps

Thanks, everyone. Please send me good thoughts over the next week. That will determine if I need to go back to the dr to find out what's going on.

Love,
Laura
