Abdominal hysterectomy nightmare

For the last three years I have suffered with large fibroids, when I was finally to the point of looking 8 months pregnant I discussed surgery with my Dr. She felt that a myomectomy was the best option. Much to my terror when I woke from surgery I was being taken for an immediate cat scan...i was told there were complications and I had to have a hysterectomy that my ovaries were left but that she had puctured my bladder, patched it, but they wanted to check my ureters on the scan. My ureters couldn't be located do I was immediately put into an ambulance and taken to a hospital an hour away. The urologist there had to open my abdominal incision again and realized the patched bladder wasn't fixed...i needed bladder reconstruction and my gyn had cut off one of my ureters. The urologist had to move my bladder to the right and up to reroute the short peice of ureter I had left into my bladder. He had to go through more nerves to do so. After a week in the hospital I was released with a catheter. My legs were on fire with nerve pain and numbness. It's been a little over two months since my surgeries and the nerve pain is better but the numbness is still there.... My bladder will never be the same. Sadly living with the fibroids was better than this....hoping most of the side effects will go away....
