Embarassing Question
Ok ladies here's the scoop.. I had my surgery on March 6. I had a bso.. (had hyster jan 2001).. anyhow. after my hyster i didnt have pain during sex.. but now I am. Really Bad.. Like sharp jabbing pains. I get so frustrated.. I had alot of pain before both these surgieries in this area in my life. I thought after I had the surgeries this would be over. The only reason I started having pain after my hyster is i developed a large tumor on my right ovarie and my left one was in pretty bad shape so they went in and took out both of them, the mass and my tubes..Will I ever have a normal sex life again? I hope someone out there has some advice.. I wouldnt wish this on anyone

Embarassing Question
Yikes, girl! How brave of you to try sex after only 2 months. I waited over 4 months, and had dull pains even then. Almost a year later I have some achy feelings the next day. Ask your doc, but also remember it takes a while for things to return to normal. Some of my friends said a year! I agree! Some still get twinges after 20 years of ovary removal! Heh, all this is better than cancer or constant bleeding. Hang in there!

Responded privately
But anyone else with this issue should check out the adhesion links on The Road Less Traveled . My symptoms were identical, and it took me 6 months to say "things aren't right" to the doc. My adhesion removal was 6 weeks ago, and I am tremendously improved.

Embarassing Question
((Blessed4sure)),
I'm so sorry you are still in pain:cry: Have you had a follow-up appt or discussed this with your Dr. If you havent I would recommend you please call him/her so they can check out this pain. Hopefully it is stilll healing, your body has been thru a lot over the past few months and a Hyst alone can take up to a year to fully recover. Like Nel suggested it could be Adhesions(scar tissue), several of us on The Road suffer from this and have painful intercourse. There are many informative links at the top of this forum about Adhesions titled "Helpful Links" but please start with a visit to your DR, only they can truley find the source of your pain and hopefully fix it Good Luck and please let us know how your doing...

Clarification
Note to all - if you are having post op problems you must be verbal. Work out in your head (and on paper helps, too) exactly how to describe your issue. If its pain (not to be too graphic here but):
Exactly WHEN it hurts (certain positions, everytime, etc)
Exactly WHAT it feels like (sharp pain, pulling, burning)
Exactly WHERE it hurts (high, low, all over)
I was altogether too vague with my physician about my symptoms and it is completely my own fault that I was in pain as long as I was. I thought I was just being a wimp about the slow healing process, when in truth I was being a total wimp by not saying specifically "intercourse hurts" and explaining the when, what and where. I was getting a major nerve jolt, like hitting your elbow, in the vicinity of my right ovary. I waited until everything was hurting (tieing my shoes, jogging, you name it) before I would say anything other than "things are really different and I'm having problems adjusting" to my doctor.
I really truly thought my problems were in my head, I was supposed to be getting better and I was practically ashamed to say to doc that I had a big problem. I thought I just wasn't being patient enough for four months.
The doctor has a better chance of helping you if you can give the best description, no matter how embarrassing (they've heard it all anyway), that you can possibly give.
Most women heal up nicely with no major set backs and that's wonderful. But don't ever hesitate to ask questions and let the doc know if something just doesn't seem right.
