Dear Ladies,
I was reminded by a dear friend of this old thread that I started over a year ago.

http://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/sho...threadid=26031

When I read it, my heart swelled at the goodness that is contained in that thread and the changes in my life since that last post. So...if you don't mind, I'd like to have another Blessing Party and would love you to attend with me.

*********

I have many blessings that are too numerous to count but here are a few:

1. I have a loving family with husband, daughter (a new college graduate looking for a "real job"!) a son who serves in the USAF with his wife, my Daughter in law who love me and support my efforts with my teaching career, this site and my art.

2. I have a wonderful sister and brother who's families surround me with kindness and mushy feelings. They remind me of our childhood family which was filled with love and tenderness, fun and lots of moving as an Air Force family. They also reflect the wonderful character qualities of our parents for me.

3. I have friends in abundance who call on the phone just to tell me that their day was the pits or their day was so wonderful and share all the tidbits of their lives with me...the good and the bad. Shopping friends, antique friends, Bible study accountability friends, movie friends.....

4. These same friends picked up our stuff and hauled lots of it from one house to another in our town...when I moved this year. They also helped me put my kitchen away in the cabinets and drawers and even if I'm still looking for my mixing spoon or my tea bags...I'm sooo grateful!

5. Although we lost our old Cocoa dog and know she is wagging her tail over the Rainbow Bridge, I have the delightful joy of being the "mom" to a wonderful dachshund puppy named Dora. I have no idea how I got along so long without her in my life...but I'm so grateful that I have her now and she makes my heart swell with all the mushy stuff that life has to offer between a master and her pet. Actually, the truth is...I am owned by this dachshund.

6. I have wonderful high school students that think I'm swell and consider me a big odd since I love to wear funny socks and sing golden oldie songs to them while they work in the art studio. I have a "red velvet" cake sitting on my desk right now from one of them....as an end of year present. (I think she wants a good grade?)

7. I can eat chocolate and tuck wintergreen candies in my purse as I choose. I can paint Wiener Dog Art until the wee hours of the night. I can putter at home in the summer times.

8. I have a nose that is a bit different shaped than last year from a bout with skin cancer and repair surgery to fix it...but I'm cancer free for now...and wear sunblock religiously. :nose: I'm grateful I have a nose at all. I have my eyes that can still see in spite of a scare with a degenerative visual disorder. I can smell, touch, taste and enjoy the beautiful creation of our Creator.

9. I have a Savior that provided new life for me...Loved me before I even knew Him....Everything I have...He has given me freely...especially an eternity with Him.

10. I have sisters who are faceless that have walked this journey through the Land of Hyster with me, step by step. From a small, tiny site to the one here today....each and every sister/member/hostess/chatteammer has contributed and made their mark on this place to make it the grand, loving place it is today. You are all wonderful and I'm grateful for each one of you.

Thank you for joining my blessing party today!

Blessings parties are great ways to evaluate our lives.

I'm thankful that my Mom is still healthy and strong in spite of her 81 years. I hope she'll be around for a long time to come.

My daughter got engaged a few months ago, and I'm thankful she has a young man who loves her and treats her so well. I've never seen her so happy.

I have been blessed with friends who have helped me with what I thought at the time were insurmountable problems.

I have a renewed faith in God. I realized that He never turns His back on us no matter how trying times can be.

I, too, have faceless sisters who continue to be an inspiration to me. I never stop learning from and being amazed by them.

I'm thankful that I have been given the opportunity to give back some of what I have received through this website.

Sometimes I feel so full of love I think I'll burst.

This is truly a wonderful idea!

I am grateful for many things, including:

1) My DH of 20 years. He is loving, funny, wonderful and supportive and the most terrific Dad.

2) My 2 children, who are the lights of my life. Even through these sometimes trying teenage years, they make me proud.

3) My 2 dogs, who are like 2 more children. They have provided so much comfort just by being here

4) My sisters and brother, their spouses and my nieces and nephews.

5) Though I'm saddened that my Dad, Mom and one brother have passed on, I'm grateful for the time and love we shared in this life and look forward to it in the next life

6) My friends, especially my 2 best friends, who are always there

7) And of course my HysterSisters!

My Blessings......

Most importantly, I am blessed to have such a loving, caring and supportive husband to whom I have been married 9 years to.

I am blessed to have my 3 wonderful dear daughters. To look in their sweet faces every morning when they rise and to get their hugs and kisses.

I am grateful that my mother and I had such a great relationship and were best friends. My mother passed on April 2000 and as much as I miss her dearly, I know she is smiling down on me from heaven.

Very thankful for the lord who has given me guidance and unconditional love.

Thankful for my health and a new life after hysterectomy.

Grateful and proud that my husband serves in the U.S. Army and that he is proud to defend our great nation.

Will always be thankful for HysterSisters web site and all the terrific women whom I am proud to call my 'sisters'.

To my family who has always been there for me emotionally, even through the bad times.

Greatful to have such loving and caring friends, for whom I can call on anytime day or night just to chit chat, cry, vent, or laugh with.

Most of all: grateful for every morning when I wake up and know that I have another blessed day to be on this earth.

Much Love & Many Blessings To You All,
Amy

I am thankful for...

1. My family - My dad and mom, who though in their 70's, are both still in good health and spirits and who loved me and raised me right. My brother and his kids and the fact that the wicked witch he was married to is now out of our lives and I can spend time with them again. And my precious children, ages 22, 20, and 19, and my daughter-in-law age 23, who offered to care for me after my surgery even though she's also caring for my two beautiful grandchildren, ages 2 1/2 and 3 months.

2. My best friend, Bill, who moved to Miami, but who I can still talk to and see every few weeks. He's made my life so much fun.

3. My health, which will get better once I recuperate from this surgery. I will be healthy again, I will feel normal, I will be able to do things I used to do! And no more Aunt Flo!!!!!!!!!

4. My multitude of friends, who care about me. I didn't realize how many true friends I had until now.

5. My Hystersisters. What a wonderful, caring group of ladies. I would NEVER have made it through this difficult time without you all and I thank each of you from the bottom of my heart.

6. My home. Even though it's just a tiny one-bedroom apartment, it's my sanctuary. Full of new furniture I bought last year and all of my things I've collected over the years, it is a refuge of peace from the craziness of this world.

7. My car, which though old, is paid for, so I don't have to worry about car payments or high insurance premiums.

8. My church and wonderful pastor and friends there.

9. My job. After being laid off a year ago, I am so thrilled to have a job that I enjoy and that allows me to grow.

10. My country and my president. Yes, we have our problems, but we're free!

11. And most of all, I am thankful with my whole heart for my saviour, Jesus Christ, who loved me so much that He died for me. He daily demonstrates His love for me and gives me His peace, even in the midst of the storms of life.

Beautiful Party

Well, first and foremost, I'm grateful for my twin soul Husband of 38 years. I'm grateful he has always been there for me in good times and in bad and that he gave me three wonderful children who have grown into adults we are so proud of.

I'm grateful for my two grandchildren who are the lights of my life. My world became magical the day they arrived.

I'm grateful for my year old grandson's smile that lights up the room, and for my 3 year old granddaughter's laughter and singing that keeps me young.

I'm grateful for my calico cat, Monique who is now my child since everyone is on their own now. I'm grateful she's cuddly and sweet.

I'm grateful for my job where I can use all the talents God gave me and know that I am helping people at the same time. I'm also grateful for the people I work with who are caring, compassionate people who are always there for you.

I'm grateful that my sister and brother are still here and are loving and supportive.

I'm grateful that my Trigeminal Neuralgia is in remission.

I'm grateful I got a second opinion on my GYN problems and now see a light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm grateful for my faith and for living in a country where I can practice it openly.

I'm grateful that Jesus died for me so that I might be saved.

I'm grateful I found this wonderful board and a group of sisters who help me so very much. God Bless you all!
