Scared & Excited

I find myself both scared and excited as I sit here cramping and clotting for very possibly the last time. I had my final consultation last Friday thinking my surgery would be end of June/early July. They called me yesterday and said I could go to the castle next Tuesday!

While I am very excited at the prospect of this finally being over (I've been begging for it for the last 6 years), I am scared silly .

I am 35 with severe endo, suspected adenomyosis and a history of painful ovarian cysts. My dr is going for a TVH, leaving the ovaries.

I know this is the right thing to - I guess I'm just happy to have a place to talk about it. Thanks!

The main thing is just keep looking at the afterward part. I am one year post-op and I feel soooo good. Each person is different so each recovery and surgery reaction is different, but waiting is the hardest part of the wole thing. Well now of course there are some moments of pain and a little uncomfortable times, but hey if you are like me I had worse during a good period day. So take a deep breath and relax. At least try and relax. God Bless.

You are going to do great. You seem to have the right mind set. I am almost 10 months post op and was 35 when I had my surgery. I can tell you it is the best thing I ever did for me. I love it . No cramps, bleeding and general pain. Yesterday I was commenting to my husband how well I felt as I sat around the pool knowing I would never miss another swim or have to wear a tampon in the pool again. It was wonderful
