((Liz)) I have no experience with what you are going through or with estratest but I did want to offer you a hug. Do call your Dr. to see if there is something they can give you for the cramps. Could be the combo of your illness, antibiotics and HRT is causing your cramps. Hope you feel better soon.

Hi!

I'm sorry you are not feeling well. I have not heard of estratest causing cramps, but some antibiotics can really give you lots of camps and other abdominal unpleasantness. If it keeps up you really should give the doc a call. S/he may want to switch your medication or give you something to control the side effects.

to you. I have been experiencing some minor cramping and really felt like I was going to start my period. The dr said it was normal and a part of post op stuff. I am 3 weeks. I really believe the pharma knows more about the side effects and if that's not one from the meds....I would call the dr in the AM just as a precaution. And I don't think there's any such thing as a pest on this site. That's what makes it perfect. We can be afraid and worried a thousand times a day and we're embraced and loved and not made to feel like Good luck!

thank you

Thanks ladies,
I am not on any antibotics right now I finished them about 2 weeks ago... for a stomach infection but I went in on friday and the dr would not take blood to see if the infection is gone. but I am still having the stomach pain I am being sent to a stomach dr.
but I don't know if it could be the test in the hrt.. the dr says that the test could show posititve for about a year.

Sherik,
Hello how are you doing??? I hope better since last time I read the replies on the jungle thanks for you and the other girls that are doing fine always try to help us poor souls still struggling.
I have a question I have been on the estratest hs for 2 months now and I am not feeling better is this long enough I hate to keep changing but I want to feel better on the nhrt I was not absorbing enough est so back to the estratesst I go....the dr did not know what to do after all she told me that she did know but I guess she did not and I am tired of changing dr and I just can not seem to find one to help they think that I am just make my symptoms up...not they are real I can not help it that my body is very sensitive.. sorry I needed to vent.......
I am thinking of the 0.5 viville patch, estrace or the pill ??????
everything is so confusing.
thanks for the replies

help cramping

Hi, I am having trouble figuring out the right HRT. I don't have terrible symptoms but still don't feel like myself. Nothing seems to work. I can't be any help when it comes to estratest. I have used estrace and it worked ok. I might try that again at a real low dose. Vent away, it is so frustrating. I hope you are feeling a little better and you find out what is causing your cramps.

sherik

hi
what are you on right now ??? I was hoping that you were feeling better. I don't know if to try the bcp or estrace or the viville patch I just don't know any more. my poor aunt is in the same boat she is taking premarin 1.25 but she is not sleeping and has alot of head aches.....
Brenda lee said in a post to some one that
"the .05 dot is equal to 1 mg of estradiol """
does any one know I called the pharmist and she did not know.
It seems that alot of the women are having better luck with the dot maybe I will try that first I am so tired of trying new meds that is probably why my stomach hurts so much.
hugs liz

help cramping

Hi, I am on nothing at the moment except supplements as try to figure out my next move. I feel fine except my brain power has dropped. If I was not allergic to adhesives I would try vivelle. I may try femhrt since I always did well on BCPs. Maybe they would work since there should not be any converting. I have PCOS and I think that causes extra problems with converting the different hormones. Not sure.

Hope we both find an answer soon.

Dolphinbabe,
If you are having stomach problems perhaps the patch would be the way to go for you. The patch bypasses the digestive system. Maybe your system is sensitive to the oral meds.
