Low thyroid

Anyone out there been diagnosed with a goiter after a TAH? My Dr. noticed one today and did a blood test to confirm. I don't think the two are related but, it (low thyroid) could be contributing to the fatigue from the TAH?
Any responses would be appreciated.
Thanks

Low thyroid

Your hypothyroid could most definetly be contributing to your fatique. I know that even when I was boderline hypthyroid I had symptoms of fatique and weight gain. It's easily treated and once you start taking the hormone (synthroid or levoxyl) you begin to feel better in a couple of weeks.

low thyroid

Hi Lamb,
Thanks for your input. I kept both ovaries and I am not on hormones. In fact, I have lost 18 pounds since the TAH? So the thyroid thing has me puzzled? But I am exhausted. I feel pretty good though, except for the fatigue. I am 12 weeks post-op and went back to work 4 weeks post-op.

Low thyroid

Sandi,
The hormone I was referring to was for your thyroid. Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear.

low thyroid

Lamb,
Thanks for the clarification. What are your thoughts on me going through with a total knee replacement 12 weeks post-op? I am 40 and feel basically good, except for being tired.
Thanks
