birth control pill

Is anyone out there taking orthotrycycline (BC Pill) for hormone replacement? If so, did it work for your acne. Dr. pulled me off patch because of my skin being excessivley oiley and pimply and said we would try the pill for 2 months. I do have less oil, but im not sure if it's really doing anything for the acne yet. The only thing I can tell is my feet keep swelling! I know I shouldn't be whining about only that, but's it's still a pain.

If there is anyone out there that can share I would appreciate it.

Some of the links inside this tread discuss skin problems, and there is a link to some of the manufacturer's websites.

Since some BCPs are used to clear up acne, I can't imagine that they would make yours worse now, but you never know.

How long have you been on the pill so far?

My gyn put me on ortho tri-cyclen. I only took it for two weekd though and took myself off. My skin was great. But it made me so irritable I couldn't stand being with myself. My poor kids. They suffered too much too. The nurse at the Gyn's kept telling me that my body was adjusting. There was just no way that I could get through it. Anyway, my skin was starting to look real good on it.
