nervousness

hello to all....i am new here. I found this website a few weeks prior to my surgery TVH/BSO with BURCH on 6/12. I am 6 days post op and i am so nervous that i can hardly type this post.I went the dr this am and he said everything looks good, he took my sterstrips off and they did a bladder test. I was teary eyed the whole visit. I asked him about hormones and he said rec'd a shot in the hospital(i knew that). He asked what else was bothering me ...told him my son had given me a hard time while trying to get ready (not that big a deal he's 10 going to mom's dr appt was not that thrilling)Dr told me to kick his butt and tell him to straighten up. and gave me a script for Zanax...I hate taking things like that but my mother has gone to get the stuff after a nap and some quite time have not worked. Help....has anyone out there in hysterworld felt like this. I feel like i am going to come out of my skin. Otherwise I really feel okay. I haven't taken pain meds for two days, no fever and i've had help around the house. Any suggestions??

thanks KIM III

Awww *hugs* sweetie

Sorry I cant say I have felt this way as of yet I am 7 day post though....My pain meds tend to make me jittery sort of paranoid feeling in a way..but other than that nothing.....My 6yr old has been giving us a hard time since this all happend...I just try and remember that he is a child,he scared and confused as to why mummy is feeling this way..I finally broke down yesterday and explained that I had what he grew in as a baby in mummies bellie taken out because it had a boo boo and was causing mummy a great deal of pain and that right now he really needs to use indoor voices and help mummy the best you can, so that the sooner I get better the sooner we can get back to a more normal life.....He has listened alot better today and has actually been a great help keeping his 3yr old sister occupied...this is my first moments home alone with them since surgery and it would not have been this way but an emergency came up with my mum in law.....a life or death moment and my hubby is the only oen beside her 15yr old she has...
Take your pills put in a good cd or movie sit back and relax darlin..things are fine, you will be fine....and well as for kids, now is a good time to eliminate the whole "its all about me" attitude.....good luck sweetie..you are doing just fine...........
let me know how you are doing!!!
*hugs*

feeling much better

thanks (belated) for your post Haileigh....I haven't had another day like that awful jittery day thank goodness...and i've only taken the Zanax once other than that day. I am going for a checkup tomorrow...I am feeling super except for some sleepness nights which are evidently quite common. It's hard to beleive it will be three weeks since my hsyt 6/12. Approx 5 weeks at home before returning to work. Is this all happening? I do feel like a different person. How bout you? how are you doing?
