Frustrated with Post Op bleeding.

I need a little pick me up.

I am frustrated! My surgery was June 5th. For the first 1 1/2 weeks, I had bright pink spotting basically.
But in the last 1/2 week, I have had deep red blood and much more than before.
I saw the dr on Tues and he said it is 'old blood' from above the stitches of the vagina vault. He did not say it would keep going just as heavy. (Don't get me wrong, it is nothing like before, But it is heavy considering I just had the hyst!!!)
Anyway, here it is Friday evening and I am still losing so much blood, that is apparently 'old' blood.
Any ideas on when I can expect it to stop?

Thanks!

Kelley

If you saw the doctor on Tuesday and you are still bleeding very heavily today, you need to call the doctor again tonight - or call the doctor on call. Please keep us posted on how you are doing.

Hi Kelly,

I am sorry you are so frustrated. I agree with LynnMary, I would call the Dr again and let him know how you are doing. And certainly if he doesn't see you over the weekend, I would ask for an appointment on Monday.

Good luck, let us know how you are doing!
