No sex drive and tension headaches

I had a TVH a month ago and still have not gotten my libido back! I'm getting married in a week and need to get "that loving feeling back REAL SOON"!!!My fiancee has been patient but feels I'm trying to avoid sex..I just have NO interest! Anyone else have this problem? I had endometriosis so my dr. is waiting to put me on HRT.

Also, I have tension headaches in the back of my head. They range from a few minutes to an hour. Just wondered if this is hormone related?

Would love to hear from any of my sisters who can relate or help!!

No sex drive and tension headaches

Trieva,

Best wishes on the upcoming wedding!!

Oh my you do have a problem -- 4 weeks is a tad fast to expect to be feeling normal in the libido department, especially with no HRT going on. Some women are not even medically cleared to have sex until 6 weeks, and many of us find it was a few more weeks to a couple months before that 'loving feeling came back. So rest assured, you are very normal. Your fiancee's feelings are normal too, if not especially welcome at the moment.

Did you have your ovaries removed? Have you discussed this situation with your doctor? Did s/he have any advice? Might be worth a call.

While the headaches could be due to sudden menopause, they could also be due to anxiety around the wedding - You have so many life changes now that it is really hard to say.

No sex drive and tension headaches

Hello,
I feel for you!! What hormone are you on? I was on cenestin all the different levels and it was awful..I am now on Estratest it has testoterone in it for my lack of sex drive and hot flashes galore!! I have been taking it for like 1 week and can already see and feel a difference!! Amazing! but it has only been a month for you, you need more time to get your body where it needs to be...it just went through alot ya know...give it time. Thats too bad that you are getting married so close to your wedding...Good luck!

Congratulations!
Christine

Hi,

You do have an interesting situation here, what with your upcoming wedding! (I suppose there's no possibility of postponing it until you're fully recovered?)

Are you comfortable calling your doctor and discussing your situation frankly with him/her? Otherwise, I'd also suggest looking at the No Hormone, Desert Oasis forum here in case the people there might have some suggestions.

This does sound hormonal, and hopefully your fiance will understand and not take this personally!

Good luck!
