Now I know why I have been running a temp and in so much pain.

I woke up this morning with the front of my pajama bottoms soaked in drainage from my incision. I put a gauze bandage on it and layed back down to monitor it until the doctors office opened. Then woke up again to find the gauze soaked and the front of my underwear and blanket also soaked with drainage. So off to the doctor we went and sure enough I have an infection of my incision that he also had to drain more. My incision opened right in the middle and now I have to have home health come twice a day to pack the wound. So this is why I have been having so much pain and still been running the low grade temp. I also had to call the doc yesterday for a UTI so I was already on antibiotics for that.
I can honestly say though that I immediately felt better with the pain and although I am sore right now from all the manipulating of my incision and all the walking I did today, I feel better than I did yesterday!
Oh well. This too shall pass.

Hi Pamela,

I too am sorry to hear that you're going this problem with your incision. However, I'm glad that you're feeling so much better with all of the yucky stuff draining out. Just think, each day should be getting a little better than the last!

Continue to be a good pampered and get lots of , exercise with frequent short walks and of course, lots of

Best wishes and s
