It's a done deal...

Hi, Everyone. I'm back from the castle. They took me into pre-op at 10:30 and made me wait until 2:00 (!!!) until they came and got me for surgery. Yes, indeedy, that WAS the worst part. Everything else that I had worried about basically didn't happen. I had a general with an epidural for pain. The only way to go... no pain for the first two days. I did, however, itch like crazy, but they were generous with the benadryl. I had no sore throat from the tube. The catheter was hardly noticeable, even when they removed it. I'd say taking me off the epidural and on to narcotics (percocet, then darvocet, excuse my spelling) was the worst part. Threw up once, had nightmares and hallucinations. I gave up on them after two days and switched to Ibuprofen and that did it...I feel great!!!! I had told a friend about HysterSisters and she brought me a crown to wear in the hospital!! This site saved my sanity. Thank you!
