1.5 yrs post op from TAH/BSO and SPOTTING BLOOD HELP!!!

Hello sisters!
It's been a long time since I have been here. But I need some light on a subject. As you know it will be 2 years since my TAH/BSO in September. Well, I have been having some ab. pain and now spotting some blood. Bright red blood. I am scheduled to go to my dr in September for a check up should I wait until then or try and make an appointment before then? IS there anyone out there that has experienced the same thing as I am? Or am I alone. And what could be the reason I am spotting. I thought since there isn't anything left in there to bleed from where is the blood coming from? Weird I think. Hopefully someone out there can help me. Thank you all for your help.

Chele:

I'm sorry you are dealing with this -
*Please* call your dr. soon as you can- its always better to be on the safe side. If you ever have any doubts about whether you should call him then your instincts are usually right. I dont have any experience with this, hopefully some of the other ladies can be of some help.
Please let us know how you're doing & what your dr. says, o.k.? Take care

Thanks

Thanks to all the sisters who responded to my post. No I did not have endo I had adenomyosis and cysts on my ovaries. I have nothing left. So how can I be spotting blood? Confusing??? I will call my dr today to see when I can get in who knows he stays booked up. AT least 2 weeks - a month in advance. Oh I am not on any HRT either and haven't been for about 9 months. Does anyone think maybe that has something to do with it? The HRT I was on was not helping me at all and everything the doc would put me on didn't help either. I did not have a sex drive and now I have one FINALLY! So what should I do? TOTALLY CONFUSED!

1.5 yrs post op from TAH/BSO and SPOTTING BLOOD HELP!!!

Hi Chele,

My friend is 13 months post-op total hysterectomy and she also has just in the past two days started spotting. She had no problems after the operation at all. They took everything. The question is where in the world could the blood be coming from. Her doctor was booked, but she will see a nurse practioner tomorrow that had suggested it could be some type of granule????? The internet said it was possible to be that or possibly some type of polyp. She stopped on her own the estrogen patch- vivelle-about three weeks ago and has returned to the gym vigorously these past few days. Could it be a strained blood vessel? She asked the nurse on the phone could it be cancer-anything in the medical world is possible, but this is not likely. This estrogen thing is so confusing, could stopping it be a cause or the cause in the first place. Hopefully the exam with the practioner tomorrow will relieves some anxiety. She will have a doctor exam next week. I would suggest for peace of mind see a doctor before August or September. Will keep you posted. God bless

questionable vaginal bleeding

Hello,

The nurse practioner said today that she saw either a pea size polyp or a piece of small tissue at the top of the vagina.
She said that the doctor will probably clip it and cauterize it next week. What is still very perplexling is why after no bleeding for a over a year has it started now??? Should one stop exercising for the moment???

Still puzzled......margo b.

spotting blood

I hope things are going better for you. My friend went back to the doctor
and he looked and said it was a granule. He snipped it off and placed silver nitrate on it.
supposedly he deaded it before snipping but it realllllly was a painful moment. Biopsy came back as an inflammed granule.
All seems well now. She still has pulling after a year though even with exercise.??? Perhaps a new doctor would be appropriate for her.
God Bless
