leaking clear fluid

Hello everyone,
I had a TVH on June 21st. I went and had a dr. visit last Thurs. I explained to the doctor that when i exercise or just am up walking around all day that i leak a clear fluid. Sometimes it soaks right through my pants!! It doesn't smell foul , but does have an odor i can't explain. My doctor checked me and did not find any types of infection. He did sayhowever that some of my sutures still are not totally healed and that may be the cause when i over exert myself. Has anyone else experienced this!! I was looking forward to having less discharge and periods, but this is horrible!! Any info would be appreciated! smile

Clear fluid leaking

Hello:

I am 3 weeks post op and I am also leaking clear fluid. I still thinks it's better than the alternative! Mine also has an odor, but it's not offensive and certainly not like the odor prior to my surgery.

I had a TAH, not TVH, but when when I saw my doc last week, he explained that I might have a pinkish discharge when the stitches started to dissolve around the vagina.

I would encourage you to contact your doc if it doesn't get better. Do you notice it more sometimes than at others? Sometimes mine is worse in the morning, or if I have increased my level of activity.

It's always better to contact your doctor if you're concerned.

Take care.

leaking

Hi there sister, I am now 9 months post op from having a LAVH. I had discharge of a clear fluid for about 5 weeks. It was enough to need a small pad, but it did decrease. Some seem to have alot of discharge and some others have hardly any so it is another one of those very individual things. Yes the internal stitches can take quite some time to completely dissolve, I still had a few dissolving at 7 weeks. Hang in there mate you're doing fine. Just remember if the discharge changes colour or the odour gets worse then by all means have it checked out again. hugs Vicki aka smilie
