Vaginal bleeding

I am six weeks post-op, and had sex for the first time yesterday. Since then, I have seen a watery, blood discharge. I'm not bleeding bright red blood, but tainted watery blood. Is this normal? Please advise. Kelly

I'm spotting today after first time sex early this morning (I made a long post about that). I'd read that some spotting is normal. Did you have fairly heavy bleeding right afterwards? I did, but it's light now.

and wait for it to go back to normal. If it doesn't by Mon. morning, I'd give the doc. a call. Do you have pain associated with it? Oh, I wouldn't have further sex til the 24 hour mark or your talk with the doc, just in case

I had a very little bit of pinkish spotting the first few times we had sex (at 6 weeks post-op). My doctor had told be ahead of time that it could happen. He told me this was normal but if the discharge was heavy or continued to call him.

I think it is always good to mention any new discharge to your doctor - you will also feel better about it! Give them a call and let them know.
