Not doing real well

Hi everyone,

I have been following all the messages since before my surgery (6/18/02) and you all have answered so many of my questions just by asking questions yourself. Thank you.

Now I need some help. I had a TVH and removal of left ovary on 6/18. I went back to work only 4 weeks later and released from the dr's care only 6 weeks post op. I feel like it was a wam..bam..thank you mam...type of thing. Please forgive my manner of speaking but I can think of any other way to say it.

Now I am getting severly depressed. I go home from work crying every day. It doesn't help that I really don't love my job but I could always handle it before. I am so tired all the time. Everything just seems worse than it was before except I am not bleeding every day.

Any suggestions....I know I can't live the rest of my life like this.

Please help..Lisa

Bless your heart.

I really felt so much sincerity in what you were saying. How is your support system? I feel this is the most important thing that you can possibly have.

Did you like your job before this? I think that you need to reevaluate if this is the career that you want. Things in life change including what we want to do with our lives. Please explore and decide what you want to be doing. Also schedule a message and something special for yourself.

Lisa, I know you only had one ovary removed, but sometimes the ovaries that are left after a hyst go into shock and quit working for some time. Please give the doctor a call and let them know how you are feeling. You might just need a little help until your system gets itself going again. Checking with the doctor will help them and you confirm this. If the surgeon can't see you anymore (since being released) then call and talk to your regular doctor. Take care! Let us know what you find out.
