Prayer Requests

I received the following e-mail from my aunt requesting prayer for a lady she knows and also for her husband's family.

Here's the e-mail, please be praying for these situaitons.

Dear Lisa, it seems like to only time I send you a personal letter is when I need you to put someone on the Prayer List. Well, I have such a request today. A friend of ours is dealing with breast cancer..she starts radiation this week, doen't know about chemo yet. She's probably around 55, not sure. her name is Linda. Her husband went to school with us and is a Baptist preacher. Also, could you put Roger, Kelly, and Karen on the list, too? They are Wade's Brother and daughters...all morbidly alchoholics! We have had Karen on the list before(she almost died from liver failure). We have tried everything in the book but nothing works. I'm sure God can help them. Thanks for all your help. Love ya, Betty

Thank You for bringing these prayer request to our attention, I will certainly be praying for them and you as well.


Lord, we ask that you touch and heal Linda, be with her as she prepares to have radiation, We know not why, but you do. She has so much to deal with and you have what she needs. Let her know that you can heal her and work your miracle, bless her so, that she may not have to go through the treatments for long. Give her strength to hold on to her faith in you, when times are difficult, lift her spirits and comfort her heart. Give her DH courage and strong will to be able to stand by his wife's side, let them both lean on you.

Also we bring Roger, Kelly, and Karen before you, they have the desire of alcohol, work with their minds and change their hearts, remove their thirst for liquor and replace it with the thirst for you. That they will be touch with your spirit. Let them see that this bad habit is hurting them and their love ones. Guide the family and lead them in what they need to do and say. Give their family strength and courage to be their for them, now and through the difficult times, when the taste of alcohol leaves their lips. We know the devil is always busy and causing conflict, but we also know that you are the peacemaker and the problem solver. So be with this family and give it peace. We are thankful and know you will honor this special prayer in your Holy Name, Amen.
