Fat cells/endo making own estrogen?

OK,
Not for the first time I am confused. Is it true that fat cells MAKE estrogen or just store excess estrogen? I have also found in my research that enod produces it's own estrogen. Is this ACTIVE endo or any remaining endo at all? Meaning does the "dormant" endo also make estrogen?

Thanks for any insight into this. Any links to research would be appreciated!

Belly fat can produce estrone, one of the 3 types of estrogen made by the body.

Thanks for the help with the belly fat issue. Now if I can just figure out the endo! LOL... I am a bit edgy. Doing more yoga to try and help with that. Also going to try adding in magnesium.
