Hello

Everyone is different. I had my surgery 1 year ago on the 17th. My stomach looks the same as it did before my surgery. I am just so happy with everything that a little pouch would be so worth it.

Not only does my tummy look just like it did before my hyst (I'm a year and a half post op) but although I did gain some weight for a while after my hyst while adjusting to Premarin (and treating myself a little too well for a while.........eating whatever I wanted because after all I was recovering from major surgery!! ) when I got myself back on track as far as eating goes I lost the extra weight and then some..........and am now in a SMALLER size then I was when I went in for my hyst in the first place.

Hey Rolling Stones!

Only a week ago, I went out and bought new clothes because I was finally convinced that the "pooch" and swelly belly weren't going away anytime soon. (I'm 13 weeks post-op.)

Well, lo and behold, today I woke up, looked in my full length mirror and my shape had changed. I actually could wear last summer's shorts! It may change again, (I hear that swelly belly can show up when least expected) but this is the first day that I've had any sense that my figure might return. Even in my pre-op months with a fibroid-filled belly, I couldn't wear those shorts, so today's developments are cause for celebration to be sure!

It's so very different for all of us, but I can honestly say that even if I'd kept that unusual belly indefinitely, my new post-op health would be well worth it.

s to you!

Cecee
