Quit HRT
Hi...Its been awhile since I've been here. I have been reading the post though.
Anyway, about a month ago I was due to refill my script for my prempro...after reading everything about it and never quite feeling comfortable taking them, I just quit. Never went back for the refill, I have to tell you, I have my sex drive back, I don't have as many mood swings, I have energy and for the first time in a year I feel like me again.
I am going for a bone density test today. I seen the doctor yesterday and he was pleased I had gone off the HRT...
Just wanted to share...oh yeah, Hubby says he feels like he finally has a wife again...

There are many of us who just plain feel better off estrogen. I'm glad to hear you fall in that category!
You do have to be vigilant about your calcium intake and exercise. Also, some women do have persistent vaginal dryness, which can be treated with non-systemic estrogen or other lubricants.
I'm glad for you. Here's to staying healthy!

Ciscokidzz,
That is wonderful!!! I bet you'll find you feel lots better off of it. Seems I hear more complaints, than I do good things about hrt's. Good luck to you....natural might be better, if you can do it that way.

Thank you for the reply's...I haven't started any vitamins yet. I am not really sure what I should be taking or how much to take. I have been exercising. There is a nice path at the park I discovered about a month ago and have been walking during the mornings. If I don't go there I have been using the treadmill. I did lots of swimming, we have a pool and with the hot summer this year it was easy to get some exercise there..
I haven't had any hot flashes and I don't seem to be angry at the world.
Any help with the vitamins and maybe other exercise I should be doing would be greatly appreciated.

Take a look at the pull-down: Supplements and HRT . Trish did an incredible job of explaining the need for supplementation.
Most of us are taking: a good multi-vit ( without extra iron); calcium/Vit D/magnesium; and for some, Omega-3 and Omega-6 (there's a pull-down on evening primrose oil as well). Most of us are drinking lots of water. And if you mosey on over to Hysteritaville, you'll see all kinds of suggestions for activities! The recommendation is a total of 60 minutes of some sort of activity daily...just taking the stairs can add up to 10 of those minutes, etc. The idea is to be active, and it certainly sounds like you're doing that! .
