Diet post surgery...

I'd really appreciate some diet tips for the 6 week's post op in order to a) make life as comfortable as possible (i.e. easy BM's etc..) and b) to avoid gaining loads of weight.

I'm about 15 kgs overweight and getting bigger by the day because of the medication I'm on and really don't want to gain after surgery although I know I shouldn't expect not too given I'll be off my feet most of the time.

regards
Xaviera

Diet

Hi and Hugs. All the very best for your hyst, hun nerves are so so normal, think positive it will soon be over and behind you, you will then be well on the road to recovery and becoming a new and happier sister.
I can not help too much with the diet tips as i was on antibiotics for 5 weeks post hyst, and man they made me feel ill. I did live on egg andwhiches though for tea most nights. i found them light enough to hold down and they are good protien. Fruit is another good one, and will also help with the Bowel. Yoghurt is good to. Watch for things that will give you too much wind. i was lucky nd did not have too much wind after surgery. all the best and let us know how it all goes. Vicki
