what's up with the peeling skin?
Hi Ladies..
Just have a real quick question to throw at you today...I woke up this morning and after my shower i noticed peeling skin all over my belly, breasts, and buttocks!! It does not itch and doesn't quite seem like normal dry skin but it is peeling, almost like a sunburn peel. Anyways, I am 12 days post op (tvh kept ovaries) and have not been on any meds since about day 4 or 5.I also have had a fairly good recovery thus far except some minor mood swings. So whats the deal with the peeling skin? just curious....thanks in advance
love and hugs~~ Liberty

Hi Liberty,
I don't know for sure, but it could be hormonal --- your ovaries may still be "asleep" following your surgery....sometimes they take a while.

Peeling skin
Hi,
I too had peeling skin at about the point you are now. The differance was that mine was on my hands only. Did not itch, red or anything just peeling skin. It ran it's course in about 2-3 days and has never happened again. Anyone else out there with these symptoms?

what's up with the peeling skin?
I'm 4 weeks post-op TAH/BSO and I started peeling on my stomach above the incision a few days ago. Also, my lower back near my tailbone has been very, very dry. My DH says he sorta recalls its a post-op thing, but can't remember the reason.

Hi from a LIW
Princess Liberty,
I too am having a TVH, keeping the overies. Can you tell me how it went and how fast you are recovering? I am very anxious, scared and resentful about having to give up my regular life for several weeks. I am going to miss several important events in my children's lives, but the timing could not be changed.
What did you take with you to the castle, and what did you find especially useful? Any hints from "one who has gone before" would be greatly appreciated.
How sore were you afterwards? Was sitting a major problem? Did you shave yourself or did they do it for you at the castle? Did you have to have an enema?
Sorry to be so personal, but this website has helped me so much, that I am not afraid to ask anything anymore. I feel that I can never have too much information.
Congrats about being on the other side. Wish I could trade places with you right now!!! To know that everything went OK would be wonderful. My 40th birthday is the two days before my surgery and the only thing I want for my birthday is to have my life back and be normal again.
Congrats! and speedy recovery!
Angelheart
