Quick tips re: surgery
I'm home! Just wanted to post a real quickie to let you all know that I made it safe and sound. The fibroid turned out to be plural and large, plus lots of adhesions and endomedriosis. As the doctor said, "I've never seen such a mess." So surgery was a little more extensive, and they had to cut the bladder. So I came home with a catheter for a few days! My son thinks it's cool because I can pee standing up! Hints and observations:
Pain: much less severe than anticipated. They never let me get in too much pain, and kept me well doped up. Very nice.
Sitting: with the catheter in for so long, I had some trouble getting comfortable while sitting. My dh brought me one of those donut pillows, and it worked wonders! Would be worth it to take with you!
Well, I'm going to go lie down and eat bon bons!
Thanks for aaaaaaalllllllll your support!
