Pre-op all done......just the wait now

Hi ladies.

Had the pre-op. I go in on the 4th at 5:30am and now I just have to wait. Yikes...getting a bit unnerved.

I have tons of work to do at the office this week so that will keep me busy probably until around 10pm the night before.

I have one more period starting tomorrow. I hope it is the grand poopah of all periods so I can laugh. Starting the iron today just in case my wish comes true. It most likely will....hasn't failed me in several months.

I will think about the other sisters that share my surgery date. I will probably shed a tear right before they wheel me away, and then wonder what in the hell could I have been thinking after I wake up, but in the long run be so much better off.

Hi Jodi,

I'm sure you've already heard that the waiting is the hardest part of the entire process! Take some time for YOU this week --- go to a movie, have your hair done --- stuff you won't be up to during your recovery.

At least you've got an early surgery time!

The wait is definitely the hardest part of this ordeal. At least it was for me. After the ball gets rolling you will be so busy moving through the whole eexperience that you won't have time to be afraid.

And I would definitely do this again. I never once was afraid I made the wrong decision. Oh by the way, my surgery was 6 months ago and I'm doing great. Still a few twinges and stiffness, but that gets less and less with time.

Hey girl! Yeeha for you...pre op down.....just a little more patience to go! I will be praying for you as I have been......if you are pulling your hair out and can't keep yourself busy, email me....I'm a good listener....and hey, we can swap jokes or stories or SOMETHING! Because I'm pulling my hair out...pre op on Thursday, but Castle is still A WEEK away! OH MY! You could eat off of my floors, every single EVERYTHING in the house, including the kids toys are washed, neatly organized and I don't know what to do! I am more anal about stuff right now than I was when I was 'nesting,' pregnant. How are you feeling, other than nervous and anxious? Let me know how you are doing!
