Any help for anxiety after hyst?

I sure know what that feels like...I started in the hospital...And was sent home with zanax, and it really helped me through the hard times........

I am on a mild antidepressant now and feel better...But I did have to take the zanax for about 6 months then my body seem to adjust......

Talk to the DR... It seems to be a comon issue with a lot of the sisters...

Its CoryAnn in Philly.....I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing the anxiety. Has this been going on all along do you think? And does it have to do with trying to sleep or do you seem to have it all day long?

I have been on Zoloft since before the surgery and I know it has helped me in relation to that anxious feeling. Actually my doc just had me up my dose because I was on such a low dose and I'm still having problems sleeping. The Zoloft is a lot like Paxil, Xanax, etc. Can you call your dr.? Or were you able to contact the doc I gave you the recommendation for at Penn? You don't need to be going through this now since you are still healing.
