sore throat again

Has anyone else had this type of pain in the throat that sometimes when u start to talk u feel like choking and try to clear your throat this is happening again to me i swear it's from that tube they put down your throat when they knock u out. When i had my hyst 10 wks ago it took 5 wks for it to go away (i really thought it was allergies) and then i still had a scratchy throat but at least i wouln't feel like i had to choke on my words and it's always on the left side of the throat . i just had surgery again for my appendix and it looks like i'm going thru this all over again. Is there anything i can do to make this go away sooner?

My mother had surgery and the tube they put down her throat caused something to mess up with her vocal chords..she had to have surgery to correct it. It got so bad she was loosing her voice and she was constantly clearing her throat. She would choke on a sip of water. Dont let it go for too long. See your Dr. about it.
I dont mean to sound drastic but i'd hate for anyone to go through what i watched my mother go through.
