Cramping???

Hello again!!!
Just wanted to know if the cramping is normal too??? Its been 10 days since my surgery and the cramping can be unbearable. I've been trying to stay away from the pain pills due to the constipation (sp) it causes. But I'm not sure if that is a good idea.

Thanks for listening!!!

Cramping???

I found that the pain that I felt as cramping, was usually gas. You might try some gas X and see if that helps some.

Cramping???

Ask your DR if you can use colace stool softeners without laxative. That really helps with the constipation. Are you using anything for the pain? Motrin, ibuprofen, anything? Studies show you will recover better if you are not in pain. Again, maybe it would be a good idea to consult your DR on this. You should be able to counteract the constipation that can accompany the use of strong painkillers, if you have it, in ways your DR approves, without having to just "tough it out".

Are you being a good Princess? Remember your training and don't do anything besides rest, drink plenty of liquids, and take your little walks around the house.

Curious

I'm curious about this too. Had my surgery the same day as you and when I went to the dr. last Friday she refilled my Percocet. I don't like using those things on a long term basis and use them on occasion anyway because of Fibromyalgia. I am afraid they will make me feel more healed that I really am and cause me to over-do it. However, I feel VERY premenstrual... crampy, irritated, not able to sleep, eating everything in the house......I still have one ovary so I wonder if it is "waking up" as they say. Any insight would be greatly appreated. And here is a to help you feel better soon and know you aren't alone!
