My surgery was 10/25. Haven't had any problems, just what seems to be normal recovery and have been taking it pretty easy in the recliner day after day. Have been walking around the house a lot and drinking my water. My question is, at 18 days post op does anyone think I'd be okay to go get a pedicure? Dr. had already said I could drive as soon as I was off pain medication...that happened after about my 3rd day home.

You read my mind Girlfriend!! I have been toying with same idea. I am 3 weeks post op, and miss that one little luxury I allowed myself! I just was not sure how comfortable I would be sitting in the chair. I sit fine here, but sometimes you never know what will be ok.

I am kinding leaning towards saying....Go for it!! hee-hee. I will watch this post too, and see what others say.

Ladies~

As long as you have the okay to drive & it would not be too much effort, I would say "go for it"! We are all different & only you know how you feel. You might try sitting in the position you would be in for the pedicure to test if it would be comfortable enough before you actually go. Standing up I feel that I would be able to shave my legs. But, when I actually try to do it, it's harder than I thought.

Be cautious & don't let your "cabin fever" drive you to do something against your better judgement. Remember, the are still watching!

Good luck!

Hi girls,

I had a pedicure at 3 weeks and it was HEAVEN. Just what I needed to feel good.

Enjoy.

Never did go today...as the morning went on, my swelly belly decided to get swelly. Oh, well...it was a gread thought for a couple of hours. My DH said he'd take whenever I want to go. Tomorrow I have other plans (short shopping trip to Sam's club...DH will push cart and put the stuff in it).
