Reality Just Set In!!

I just got a call here at work from my office with my official date!! I asked for January 9th originally, and they said they would get it as close as possible - and they just called giving me January 8, 2003 as my official date. I hung up and my heart started pounding, my hands started shaking and my boss said my face was as red as a beet!! Guess it didn't hit me until this very moment!! First thing I had to do was change my Hyster Sister profile!!!!!!!!! Love ya'll for being here for all of us - this waiting has got to be the worst part as everyone says!!

Good luck and pace yourself from here on out! I had to make a list to keep me from going nuts and forgetting stuff (clean litter box, clean house, get shots for dogs, etc) It hit me all at once! There seemed to be so much to do, but believe me- if you don't get it all done- it really is no big deal!

I'm with you! I had the same reaction. I was all cool and calm and ready to go but when I got my actual, real date, I wigged! The wigging gets better after you get used to the idea and start making all your arrangements.

I too was calm and collected until the actual surgery date was given. All of a sudden two months seemed like two minutes and how in the world was I going to get everything done in time???

As you said waiting is truly the hardest part. If I had for every time I've said or heard that then I'd retire and be quite wealthy
