seeking some help!!!!!!

I Had a TAH with overy removal 4 wks ago. I cannot take hormones because of a bout with breast cancer 8 yrs. ago. I have been having terrible anxiety and panic attacks for the last couple of weeks. I was diagnosed years ago with panic and anxiety disorder, but It has been under control for many years. My meds don't seem to be helping. Since I have been through menopause for 8 yrs. I didn't think removing the ovaries could be a big deal. Could some of this be caused by the ovary removal and does any one have any suggestions???

Hi Maryalice

I would speak to your dr and tell them how you feel....I had to add a new med becouse I was feeling panic....I now feel so much better....I am so opened with my dr,s.....Make sure they hear you........The changes set all this unbalance off...But we dom't have to feel that way...I thank God for the meds.....

panic and anxiety

Hi there,
I began having panic/anxiety attacks at about 4 months post. I did ask my DR for something to help but ended up not taking it. I'm scared of drugs! LOL

About 5 months post, I noticed a difference in that I did not get the adrenalin surge that would last for hours. Seems that things mellowed out a bit once I began to be aware of what triggered an attack. Not sleeping well a couple of nights in a row....stress....now I try to talk myself down so to speak.

If you need to have your meds re-evaluated then do so as soon as possible. There is no reason to have to suffer with this along with your recovery.
