Probably silly question.

Has anyone else had pain from the belly button up including ribs since LAVH-BSO? I have pain that kind of feels like a burning with sometimes a quick stabbing pain around and under the ribs on both sides and through the belly. I just thought all the pain would be below the belly button, sides and back. What do you think?

Probably silly question.

Definitely not a stupid question. I think(this is my opinion) it depends on how much abdominal tension they had to fight with during the surgery. That means you could have major bruising inside.

Of coures if it continues for more than a few days, I'd give the doctor a call. It could be something else like your gall bladder, an ulcer(as a result of meds), or plain old stress.

Let us know what you find out okay?

Probably silly question.

Virginia, thanks for your opinion, I was wondering if it may be abdominal tension too because of the largest fibroid being removed vaginally. The doctor told my husband that he worked 1 hour longer than previously thought to get the large one out. He said he was sweating and really working and it was VERY hard to remove, so I would say there was a lot of tugging and pulling. I am trying not to worry but it seems to be worse now at 4 weeks than previously.

Probably silly question.

You might be feeling it more now because all of the heavy duty pain meds are pretty much out of your system. I quit all meds after two weeks and felt more pain the next few weeks than I did before.

But once again, if it worsens, call your doctor.

Pain in Belly

Yes, I am at 11 weeks, and am still having that kind of pain. I told my doctor at 9 weks and she said I still had stitches. I am not sure what it is.
