Uterine Prolapse
Hi !
I have a uterine prolapse. It kind of plays "peeka-boo".I have so much pressure in my pelvis, rectum, groin(pulling) and bladder. For the last 2 days I have had muscle pain in my legs and a "prickley" sensation in my legs as well.Just wondering if anyone else felt this.I am going to get a hysterectomy because I also have fibroid and endo.I'm pretty nervous about the whole thing, but I'm sure it will be worth it! I would love to hear from anyone else with this.

Uterine Prolapse
Hi Krissy
Sorry to hear about the recent pain you've experienced. I didn't have prolapse but if you use the search function (the button at the top right of the screen) and plug in "uterus prolapse" you'll probably find a lot of threads on the subject.
Best of luck

Uterine Prolapse
Hi Krissy,
Sounds like I am in the same boat as you! I have surgery sheduled for Dec. 4th and literally cannot wait! I have had some leg discomfort and shooting pains down the legs. I have also experienced major hip pain. My chiropractor thinks it is probably due to nerve flow being hindred by the pressure down low. I have been in constant lower back/hip/leg pain since I was 8 months pregnant. My daughter is now 21 months old. My prolapse finally got bad enough that I decided to take care of it. I really had no idea the prolapse could be contributing to the pain, but from what I understand it is highly likely. I wish you the best! Like you, I am nervous, but very eager to get it taken care of!

Uterine Prolapse Problem
I had a peek-a boo cervix just as you do. It kept getting worst to the point the doctor said he felt it would probably "fall out" within a year! I had been noticing a very heavy feeling in my lower abdomin this past year sort of like when your pregnant and you feel like you want to support your abdomin by putting your hands under it. Other then these two problems, I had no pain or anything else. There aren't too many options available to correct the uterine prolapse. I decided to have a TAH, as well as, a bladder suspension. I had the surgery 8/15/02. Because of all the many experiences and support from princesses on this site, I had no surprises at all. I knew everythign that was going to happen and I had no fear. OK, well almost none. I went back to work after six weeks and am fully recovered. No lingering problems at all! I don't regret the decision to go ahead with the surgery.

Uterine Prolapse
I could have written your post !!! I was diagnosed with a prolapse and rectocele in July of this year although things have been dropping since October of last year.
I can relate to your physical pain. From ovulation on I have excruciating pain and pressure and at times it feels like everything is hanging by a thread (sorry to be so graphic). My surgery date is 12/16 and I am looking SO forward to it. As the date draws near I am finding it uncomfortable to sit because everything is prolapsing even further. I initially put off the thought of this surgery but I think gravity it going to have it's way and my trip to the castle is absolutely necessary for any quality of life I hope to have.
Good Luck and take comfort in the posts here!!

I know what you're going through!
When I went to my doctor, I told him I felt like my insides were "falling out". The bad part is, I put off going to the doctor because that was the only way I could describe it and I felt silly saying it. When I finally went to the doctor, I felt like I was delivering a baby. The doctor knew exactly what I was talking about, and exactly how to fix it!
I, too, had the lower back pain and the pain in my legs. He didn't say what the leg pain was, but he said the lower back pain is due to the uterus pulling on these 2 ligaments at the base of the spine. When he did the exam, he got hold of those ligaments and made a believer out of me!
I had a hard time adjusting to the idea of the surgery, but all our sisters here really helped me get through it.
I'm still recovering from surgery, so I'm not really in a position to tell you how you'll feel when it's all over, but I'm looking forward to living pain free and I'm sure you are also.
God bless you all! You're going to be fine!
