placement of patch

Were do most of you ladies that use a hrt patch, put it? My sister in law said her doctor said it was alright to put it on her back up by her shoulder as long as it was a fatty area. (so that's where she placed it) I never heard of this? Even the instructions don't metion that area. Have any of you heard of putting it there?

placement of patch

Hi Sue

I have heard of that, but the directions on my patches say to use them on the abdomen (front or back). I put them on my backside because they stick better there and you get about 20% more that way (I am using the very lowest dose patch).

Most of us use either the backside, outer hip area or tummy. It should go absolutely nowhere near the breasts, the directions warn about that.

Hope this helps!
s,
-Linda

placement of patch

Sue,
When I was using the patch I placed on my upper backside hip area. And that is where my doc placed the patch when I came out of recovery right after the hyst.
