Feeling drained will I ever be normal.

Ok I thought when the gyn did the lap and the D and C that it would hold me temporyily until the surgery. Well its 4 weeks since the Lap and I feel worse. My period is due and I can tell. I have had to break out the painkillers. I am not one to use painkillers unless things are bad. My side is killing me and the flow hasn't started yet. I only work part time and by the time I get home I have to go to bed. I am zapped of all my energy. Plus I sleep most of my day away. And the stomach sickness is getting really bad again. I an constantly cold or hot mostly cold. It feels as if my body has declared war on me. When I do get a bit of energy to go out to do some shopping after about an hour I get weak and dizzy and the incision point of my Lap hurts like hell as if some one is cutting me with a knife. I feel like my life is my bed now and I am getting so depressed. Getting crying jags. I don't want my kids seeing me sick like this all the time. I know when I was anemic last year I was weak but not like this. I know I am moaning but I could use a sholder right now someone whos been there and undrstands. Only two more weeks and I should find out when I go to the castle.

{{{Denise}}}

Everyone is different, but I can't begin to tell you how much better I feel now! I am almost 10 months post op and have more energy than I had for a long time. I really didn't know how bad I felt until the surgery was over and I was recovering. My DH has told me several times that my moods are so much better than they were before, and one of my employees told me this summer that I'm like a different person.

Feel free to ask for a shoulder anytime you need one.

Big Hugs, Denise!

It is hard anticipating surgery and also having to go through these painful times. Your body has been through a lot! Rest and rest some more. Try to think that this is a short time in your life and that one day you will be free from all of this.

This time will pass, sweetie,

Warm Wishes,

Hi Denise

I can totaly understand what you are going thru right now. I can barely leave my bed for half of the day and the pain and exhaustion is horrible.

I also am getting depressed but agree with Lynn that this is only a blurp on the screen of life. I have 3 boys 2 dogs and a husband. I think that they are looking forward to the surgery as much as I am so that they can have the woman in their lives back.

Denise we are so used to being the only one who can make things better that it is hard to let anyone else take over the job. Look at it as a sebattical from perfection and let someone take the job for a while. I know it's hard. You will know before me if this surgery will be our saving grace keep in touch and you can email me if you need to talk.
Take care luv

Hi Denise,

Did you know you had so many sisters? I'll bet not.

This is one of the toughest events I hope and pray that we will ever have to go through. I am waiting for a date like you are and am depressed, in pain and just wishing this was all over.

I know this is so hard to cope with but like Denise, you'll know when your date is before we do and that's a good thing right? I'd give my teeth for a date right now. Please don't think you're all alone out there. Email me if you'd like to talk.

:

Love,
Jan

Thank you

After a long night of pain and having to book off sick from work again this morning . DH had been kind enough to let me sleep most of the morning. He works evening shifts so is able to do that. My two DD were home today 10 and just about 13 due to a storm and managed to sneak past hubby and get into the bedroom and wake me with stupid questions. And they wonder why I have ten heads. I then come downstairs to find that I theink the storm must have hit the inside of my house instead of the out side personally I think outside looks neater. DS had only cleaned yesterday. Kitchen had a bomb that must have had been made of pancake mix and blueberries and the living room that looked so pretty with my christmas tree and decrorations now was hit with a cyclone of mittins and hats and dishes. I just sat down and cried. Looked at hubby and said I can't go to castle if this is going to continue. I won't be able to let people in my house. With that DS went upstairs tooks the girls stero speakers on one and the player on another and read them the riot act and said I don't think you realize how sick your mother is and this is going to stop and you don't get this back until you act like young ladies and not pigs. Then he lead me back to the bedroom served me lunch in bed and told me to stop worrying. That they would do the work or else. Is this me being the ten headed lady or just being run down.

Feeling drained will I ever be normal.

Denise,
Wow, your story sounds like mine! I had a hysteroscopy two months ago to check the cause of my two-week-long periods and severe pain. The doc did a D&C and removed some fibroids.

Since then, the pain has been a LOT worse! The bleeding has slowed, thank God, but I absolutely know what you mean about the horrible pain and fatigue. It starts at mid-cycle and lasts through the period, which is still 8 days. I, too, have had to take sick days because of it. I also started hot flashes!

Hang in there -- you're not alone in this! Glad your husband is so supportive! And don't worry about how the house looks. God knows, I've brushed a lot aside and don't feel the least bit guilty. I am going to do a big clean close to my surgery date but, until then, I simply don't have anyone over! I'm not up to entertaining anyway!
