Help!! Gas Pain unbearable!!
Stay away from any foods that cause gas and I found if you can lay on your left side with your knees pulled up and really work at it ( don' push!) then I could manage a little fluff or two. But they sure didn't pass easily! Walking around and drinking peppermint tea also helps a lot.

Gas Pain
Hi there Poetic,
I too had incredible gas pain while I was at the castle..What they nurse did for me was to give me a suppository and this started the gas passing and my first bowel moement. So, if you have no other luck passing gas..give it a try..

Help!! Gas Pain unbearable!!
Awwwww Sweetie
Drink lots of water and take a lot of little walks around the house. **Walking really helped me get relief.** Be careful what foods you eat, too. But most importantly, DON'T PUSH! You don't want to hurt your stitches!
Why don't you give your doc a quick call and ask if he/she recommends anything to aid with this. It won't be too long before this subsides. I'm sorry you're in such pain, hon.
LOVES and HUGGLES

gas
angela,
Hi kid! Yes those gas pains can be a really "bummer" . I know mine were very intense...bigsista is right on ...peppermint tea really help settle it down. I did lots of walks around the house and keep drinking water..lots and lots of water. My doc also said I could take gasex...just one in the morning and one at night. It did wonders...after aobut 5-6 days post op it was done... no more gas...it came out quite freely then. so hang in there and stay away from bananas and other gassy foods for the next week or so.

Help!! Gas Pain unbearable!!
you might want to try a heating pad on your belly(careful not to burn yourself-your incision may be numb still) for the gas. This really helped me out alot, as well as having my DH rub my lower back.
