Doing tooooo much

okokok Im doing to much and I will admit to that. I sat for 4 hours yesterday and today Im wiped out. I dont like doing NOTHING. Ive read the mags, listened to the radio(gets on my nerves now),watched snow melt..... what else can I do? LOL having the laptop on my lap is uncomfortable at times and now I want to take another nap. LOL In which I DO lie down and dont ya know it... 15 minutes later my bladder tells me i have to pee... LOL Of all the nerve! Get to the bathroom and sit... and sit... and sit. LOLOL I think now that my largest fibroid isnt sitting on my bladder any more, my bladder is a tad bit and thinks I have to pee when I dont. I will say that I have done a lot of laughing which feels GREAT! I sound like PeeWee Herman for the moment and have to hold my stomach so I wont shake everything. LOL

OKokokok Ive been online way to long! My upper resp. infection returned while at the hospital and Im more pooped than norm.

Did any of you do to much after returning from home? And if so... How did you make yourself slow down?

me too

I am having the same problem, Bethany. Bored to tears. I know I have been on line too long - sitting at my desk is starting to get uncomfortable.

I want to do something, but then get too tired to start it or complete it. I did try cleaning my bathroom today. LOL That was not a good idea.

I have tons of books and any other time I would be dying to read. I have called work - and they don't want to keep me on the phone too long - they say I need my rest. Dh went back to work - so no one to talk to. Guess I will go take another nap. Feel so unproductive.

But I guess we should take it easy - it is just hard to sit around and do nothing.

bored

Hi Bethany

You are not alone!!! I'm starting my 5th week post-op and I'm ready to go back to work!!!! Anyway, I felt helpless just sitting around. I got bored watching T.V., I read all I could stand to read and I got bored on the computer. I called alot of relatives to say hello. I finally ran out of things to do.

After about 2 weeks, I started doing small things around the house, like cooking dinner or washing a load of clothes. I had my DH bring clothes from upstairs.

Just remember, the best thing to do is REST. No matter how bored, you need to REST. If you don't, you will not heal.

Try to enjoy yourself as much as you can. Before you know it, you will be back on your feet, I promise.

Keep us posted. kim

Doing tooooo much

Hi,
I didn't have much discomfort after I returned home, so I was able to do a lot of walking--of course, it was in the spring and the weather was beautiful! I was able to walk a few miles every day.

I found sitting to be the most uncomfortable position, so I generally was upright or completely prone!

Im still doing too much. I get tired very easily. But I have no pain so Im thinking "Just do it"...well that isnt the answer! WE have to listen to our bodies. Tired means take a nap!

Right with ya!!!

I'm going through the exact same thing. My surgery was the 4th.
I feel pretty good, no real pain(just gas) I'm already bored silly.
I'm tired but the minute I lay down, I have to pee. I sat to long on Saturday--when I got home and my hips still hurt.

My wonderful husband has everything set up wireless(satellite tv and computer) so that has been wonderful. Keeping my 90 pound dog off my lap is my biggest challenge.

Lets not keep the busy ok?? As all the wise
have said--You only have one chance to heal right!!!
