Really embarassing
Hey ladies. It's been awhile since I've been on this board, between being sick, being depressed and being busy with Christmas, I've neglected this site and I'm sorry. I've missed you all and hope your holiday season is turning out to be a blessed time for you all.
My question is this.....
I have been going to physical therapy for the MPS that was detected after the hyst by my new , and they do a lot of internal work (ouch!) as well as external work. Between that and my 6 week check up a few weeks ago, I am noticing that I still have discharge (that's the embarassing part ) and also some blood in it. Not a lot, but it's there, and it's scaring me.
I don't know if any of you have had to have PT on the internal stuff following your hyst, but if you have, is this normal? If not, is it still normal to have a discharge this late after the hyst? (It was 2 months ago on the 21st) I've been to the doctor for all my scheduled check-ups, and she never said anything about an infection, but she never really tested me for one either. The discharge does not smell funny, and it's mostly yellow, but one time it was kinda greenish. I know that can't be good. I don't have a fever, any itching, and the pain is mainly from the MPS, or at least I think so.
Any advice? I'm kinda freaking.
Also, just as an update, my depression seems to be lifting. I am not on any meds, I think it was mostly hormonal. I believe my ovaries are kicking back in, but I'm still having menopause symptoms and PMS symptoms - what fun!!!!
Love and miss you all, and hope things are going well for all my sisters. Thanks for your advice and support.
 , Missy

Hi Missy!
No need to feel embarassed about any question - all questions are valid.
You should give your doctor a call about the discharge. It could be an infection or you could have some granulation tissue that has not completely healed. The only way to be sure what is causing it is for your doctor to examine you. Have a nice Christmas! Take care.

HI MISSY! :hiya:
I do not have any answers to your questions, but I wanted to tell you I was very happy to see your post, I've been wondering about you ALOT lately. Dh even asked how you've been doing. He loves this website and was asking me about the sisters last night, since I had been ing for 2 hours, he was reminding me I am not alone. I'm sorry you're still having problems...guess we're in the same boat, eh? I have an appointment w/a new ob/gyn/hyst surgeon in 2 weeks and I'm living for it. I was wondering if you're back to work yet? If not I'm sure you know...don't do it till you're ready if you can. I'm still hurting and the stress is not helping. I'm so sorry to hear about the MPS but at least maybe now you will find some relief through pt? Oh, and I am also still having some raging menopause and PMS symptoms. Well, all I can say is...it's never a dull moment around me lately! ha! I'm still praying for you my midwest sis. Take care Missy....pm me anytime and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

My blue sister
I've been keeping an eye out for you, 'cuz I miss you!! I sent you a message, so look for it in your regular mailbox.
I'm sorry that you are still having problems. Have you talked to your DR or physical therapist about this? I know I had discharge off and on for approx 8 weeks. My ovary kicked back in at 10 weeks. One minute I was fine and the next... My emotions were on a major roller coaster, so I can relate. If you need to vent, e-mail me anytime!
I was very happy to hear your "blue period" is lifting. It takes a while after surgery to get all our bearings back. I know I still have times when I get depressed and do the "Why me's ?"
Have a wonderful holiday and I'll talk to you later.

(((Missy)))!!! Glad to see your post! Even happier to hear your mood is lifting. I've been ing for ya Sis!! Don't know about the discharge....give the doc a call if for nothing other than reassurance. I have always been rather "wet" in that area (geeze that sounded yucky). BF said he'd think he was doing something wrong if it went away.
Don't forget that you can pm or e-mail me anytime.

I you girls so much!!!!!!!!
I haven't had a chance to check for replies until tonight, and I am soooooooo smiling after realizing that you are all still with me. It's been really rough lately (duh) and I haven't been here nearly as much as I'd like to be. But..... I think of all of you every single day, and pray for all of you too. I am so blessed to have you in my life, and I'm looking forward to a new year of sisterhood with you.
Just a little update... I thought I was supposed to return to work on the 2nd of January, but found out today that I don't have to be back until the 6th, which makes me very happy. My depression has really begun to lift, and although our financial and health situations have not improved much, I was lucky enough to get some really pampering gifts for my b-day and Christmas, so I'm trying to get back to "me" again and not look so sickly. I went for a manicure and stress relieving massage today, got a foot bath with heat, bubbles and massage from my oldest son so have done a pedicure on myself, got a tanning package so am prematurely aging myself in the name of vanity, got some Crest Whitestrips to dazzle the general public with my smile, and am looking forward to a hair appointment to get some highlights, lowlights and a trim. Whew, I'm tired from all this pampering! Oh yeah, forgot about the ionic hair dryer from hubby and the beautiful diamond necklace from my youngest son (he used his own money... woah!)
The other issue which prompted this thread has cleared itself up, so that's good too. I'm still going to PT twice a week, ouch!
Oh girls, sorry to ramble on, but I have missed you so much! It feels good to have a minute to catch up! Please let me know how you all are doing. Keep in touch whenever you can, I just can't express how much I love you all!
Happy New Year, and thank you for being my sisters !!!!!!!!!

Really embarassing
Hi Missy! I too have been AWOL from this site for a while now, and was happy to see your post and esp that you are doing much better, and had a wonderful Xmas (diamonds..you go girl!!) Isn't it wonderful when the "cloud" lifts?
I have been doing great physically. Since Thanksgiving, (close to 6 weeks post at that time) I have really felt back to normal. I do not even get the "twinges "anymore, and only very rarely any belly swelling.
Mentally I feel pretty good too....very much on an "even keel", so I think my HRT must be on a fairly correct dose. I think it could still use a small tweaking here and there, but overall, I really cannot complain.
Unfortunately, just like everyone else, there are some not so pleasant life issues going on...financial (as many others too), and have to wait untill the 20th of this month to see what this breast lump is (pretty sure it is an ok fibroid type). Also dh was in serious car accident just before Xmas (drunk driver caused 3 car pile-up), but thank the Lord , he is completely fine...just totaled the car. Then on Xmas Eve we got news that his Mom has terminal cancer, and only has months at most.
She has lived a full long life, but it still is a shock and we have been very busy trying to make arrangements (she lives alone in Long Island, and he is only child) We did have a very nice Xmas tho with family, and esp my 2 year old grandson, and step grandson...they are so adorable!!
So I hope I can get on more regularly, but obviously it depends on these pressing situations.
Happy Holidays to you Missy, and keep getting better!!
