Pelvic Floor Muscles - ouch!

I am 6 weeks post op and had to keep my father in law from falling on Monday evening. (I ended up driving him to the er - where he was admited.) I then had to wrap presents and get ready for a Christmas eve celebration on Tuesday. When I got home, I noticed a sharp pain in my pelvic floor muscles. These are getting worse especially if I have to bend over to pick ANYTHING up or move anything over 1 pound.

I will try resting for a few days and take it easy. I just wanted to know if anyone else experienced this.

Thanks,
sherri

Pelvic Floor Muscles - ouch!

Hi Sherri!

When I had my surgery I was told that if at anytime I had any new pain I was to give my doctor a call. It would probably be a good idea to give your doctor a call and mention the pain you are experiencing. Keep us posted on how you are doing. Take care.

SHERRI I AGREE!!

HI SHERRI,

I AGREE WITH LYNMARYVL CALL YOUR DR. IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU MAY HAVE STRAINED SOMETHING OR PULLED SOMETHING. I AM 5WKS POST OP. AND MY DR. JUST TOLD ME TO STILL NOT LIFT ANYTHING OVER 10-15LBS. AND IF A LITTLE AND STRESS LITTLE MORE TO BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL. SO I EXPECT YOU HAVING TO HELP YOUR FATHER IN LAW AND KEEP HIM FROM FALLING PUT ALOT OF WEIGHT AND PRESSURE ON ALL THOSE MUSCLES.

SO TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE. CALL YOUR DR. AND IF HE IS OUT OF TOWN LIKE MINE CALL THE DR. ON CALL......
