Shooting pains from "inside"??

Hi all....I know I haven't been around much...in a funk, I guess...

Here's my question:
I have been having pains that feel like they are shooting up from like the cervical area (that is, if I had one...lol)...is this normal at this point? It seems to be worse after I urinate. Also, occasionally feel like...excuse the description...my vagina is falling out, I guess pressure would be another way to describe it.
Any/all comments appreciated!

this is my best effort at reassurance

Removing the cervix requires the upper end of the vagina be closed. If it isn't closed, DH will get lost. Can't remove the cervix without some dissection and blood vessels and nerves need time to get back to normal. Called the "cuff". Lot of sutures in there and you aren't that far post op, so I suspect and I am just speculating here, the shooting pain is part of the normal healing process. They are also dissolvable sutures. BUT (noticed I capitalized BUT), you do need to report this to your doc who will want to rule out infection and other healing complications.

You didn't say how they did your procedure, but the vaginal area does get swollen and it takes time for the swelling to go down. The perception is pressure in the vaginal area. And when one urinates, the pubococcal muscle is part of the process. Sometimes flexing our muscles in early recovery doesn't feel so good.

Just my common sense take on things. Usually a reasonable explanation for most things in life. I am not so good with the logical process when it is me with shooting pains tho. Put a call into your doc and ease your mind, okay?

Shooting pains from "inside"??

Thank you! Seems to kind of put things into perspective. I had a TAH/BSO and thank God I don't have a dh (substitute "dear/darling" for whichever d-word you prefer ), the thought of having sex at this point scare the bajiminies outta me!!!
Will call the doc on Monday, but I think you are right on the money!
