HysterSisters

To everyone:

I just joined today and I have found this site to be extremly helpful and informative. Unfortunatly the Drs don't really tell you what to expect. I had a Vaginal Hyst. and really knew nothing on what to expect afterwards. The big thing is I am happy to realize that my aches and pains( gas and gas and gas ) are all very normal after surgery. I am normally working about 60 plus hours a week and the hardest part for me is " being out of the loop". I am hoping to return to work in another week but I am just going to take day by day. I feel like I am on House Arrest(whatever that feels like).I did get out after 10 days to get a manicure and pedicure and that made me feel a bit more human. Regardless, I love reading everything everyone sends in and the answers etc. and this entire site has made me feel "normal"again. I am in my late 50's so luckily I don't care about having more kids and the best part is I threw out all the Tampax and Kotex that was all over the house from this ordeal.I hope to never see that stuff again.

I look forward to corresponding to everyone and hope you all feel great.

HysterSisters

Hi Retail!

Welcome to Hyster Sisters!

We're so glad you've found us!

I can relate to my DR not telling me nearly enough about what to expect! I'd be in serious trouble if I hadn't found this site and all my hystersisters to share their experiences so I could learn from them!

Stick around, sweetie! We're here for ya throughout your journey!

We are sisters!

Hi Retail

We are surgery sisters (12/17/02). Nice to have you join us.

I second toonces comments. It is always wonderful to share and be a part of others experiences. We all learn from each other as well as lend a loving moment.

Keep in touch and so glad to have you as a sister.

Welcome Retail!

Do you feel like you have been "re-tailed"?

Welcome to Hysterville! I, too, am so grateful for this site! I sing it's praises to everyone!

I feel so fortunate for the doctor I have...sit down...it's a military doctor! He is a little older and when I first went to him I figured he was just business and wouldn't know what I felt. He isn't much of a talker..kind of mumbles, but he answers every question I have in great detail. At the castle, when I was getting released, he was explaining all of the symptoms that I would have and I swear, he must visit this site, because he said everything that everyone talks about here. I just kept thinking, "I know that, I know that..." . It sure made me feel good that he is my doctor!

I'm looking forward to getting back to the living too!

Keep on Healing!
Kathy
