My New Year's Resolution...(join me!)

I have resolved to give up all tampons and pads this year!!!

Amen to that!!!

I am giving up birth control pills and Aleve for those terrible cramps. I'm also excited about never hearing the phrase "I'll be glad when your off of your period, your being a real witch!" from my DH. I also vow to wear white AFTER Labor Day, just because I can!

At Christmas I really enjoyed wrapping up my last box of tampons for my twin sister along with a beautiful tampon Angel.

This was the high of our gift exchange!

I just today threw out my diaphragm and spermicide... don't need those anymore!!!

I still have my period "supplies". I don't know anyone who needs overnight pads and OB Ultras... my DDs looked at me aghast when I offered these to them.

I was at a New Years party last night and a good friend was feeling yucky with cramps. And I realized that I won't have that EVER AGAIN!!!!

I'm just glad to start a new year and have the operation in the past. After all that suffering, all the procastination to do something about it, and all the dread, it is OVER. I'm SO relieved, that have to pinch myself to believe it's over with and getting better every day. Happy New Year's everyone!

Hi Ya'll: Happy New Year!!!!!! I'm so glad to have my surgery behind me!!!!! My DH and I toasted the New Year in bed last night and of course we toasted no more PMS!!!!! I told him I have a feeling this year is gonna be great. I quit smoking a week before my surgery and have given my notice at my stressful job. January 23 will be my last day!!! Now I have resolved to lose a few pounds and I know I can do it!!! I didn't find this site till after my hyster, but it has been a Godsend. I love all the sisters advice and humor. Hope all of you feel better today than yesterday.

Now that's a resolution that I can keep! My step daughter is coming home from schooling in Argentina next week and I'm wrapping them all up for her! This IS going to be a great year! Beth

to join you all. I think my sister said it all in the get well card she sent me....quote: "No more tampons....No more pads.....No more red spots.....aren't you glad?" I about died laughing....literally.....I didn't see this little funny coming and I was only 4 or 5 days post-op....so it REALLY, REALLY hurt to laugh. And no more PMS!!! I am totally amazed that every time I go potty there's no red spots!! Yay!! Happy Happy New Years to all my hyster sisters!!
