Soy benefits?

Could someone tell me what benefits soy shakes or soy products would have for us who are taking estrogen already. A lady at work kept telling me about her shakes she has every morning and I don't know if that is because she is trying to do "all natural" stuff instead of HRT.

Soy benefits

I consumed lots of soy prior to surgery. Your friend might be using Revival (160 mgs of soy protein). I used it for 6 months.

I really cut down on soy after surgery and being on ERT, as I was afraid the estrogen and soy might be fighting for the same receptors. Just a guess, who knows. Also, there are different opinions about Soy and thyroid, didn't want to overload my thyroid.

I think one serving (25 mgs. or less) would be fine. A glass of soy milk. soy nuts. I just would not go overboard.

Some do well going with all natural, but I think you have to make a choice and not throw too many different forms of estrogens (whether it by phytoestrogens or the real thing) at your body at once.
