Need prayer
Nurse98,
I will be praying for you throughout this next week for safe surgery and a rapid recovery. I am also praying that God you will feel God's presence during this trying time.
My doctor recommended an epidural for pain management. Email me or private message me and I will answer any questions about it.
God Bless,

Adding You to My Prayer List
Surgery is always scary and I can imagine since you're a nurse you know more than the average Sister about surgeries, etc. I was scared before mine, knowing they were going in looking for cancer, and that's what they found. However, and I had a TAH/BSO, the recovery was not so bad as I'd thought it would be. Remember that all the Sisters are with you in spirit, and we're sending up special prayers for you. God always hears prayres and every day we are surrounded by Him and his angels. May He guide your doctors and may you feel surrounded by His love and angels. I can't help with the epidural--I was actually offered that but opted to be knocked out as deeply as possible. Anesthesia to me was the scariest part due to past awful experiences--turned out to be much easier than I thought.
My prayers and those of others here are with you. God knows you're scared and He'll offer extra help to you. Elen

Need prayer
Hi, Nurse! You wouldn't be normal if you weren't just a little anxious about surgery! Having it done to you is much different than being on the giving side My bio sister had an epidural for post op pain after TAH (the catheter was placed pre op, then injected when she was in recovery, but the dr used a general for the actual surgery). She said it worked well, made her belly numb for that first day post op.
You could do a search (upper right hand corner) and type in "epidural" and find many threads discussing this. I've read several where women have been very pleased with a spinal or epidural for their hyst. Also, type in "nurse" and you will find some threads where nurses are talking about becoming a patient, and what it feels like! (It's said that drs are worse patients than nurses, though ) http://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/sho...threadid=54094
I pray that you will have a smooth surgery without complications, and that your recovery will go well. Enjoy your weeks off of work and the pampering you will get! s and best wishes!
Ruthie

Nurse, there have been others who used an epidural and were pleased. The search is a good idea. Also, you can post on both
pre-op and post-op boards to talk with others who have recent experience with the epidural.
I will pray that our Lord lead your surgeons for a successful
and uncomplicated surgery and recovery. May God be with you.
