You told me so...

Well....although I did go in to the Dr. on Fri for bloodwork and an ultrasound on my leg that was hurting, to make sure there wasn't a clot, they did not do an exam about the spotting.
Then Sat. I started bleeding very heavily and ended up back in surgery for more stitching (after they had packed me full of gauze, hoping to stop it, but it didn't work). Jeez!
So, here I am, lying prone, and typing at 4 in the morning because I still can't sleep...I was up all last night, too. Boy, this is so much fun! It's not like I've been running marathons!

Thanks for letting me vent and whine.

You told me so...

Hi Debi,

I'm so sorry that you had to have another procedure, but I am so glad that you saw your Dr.

Please, please take things easier. I know you felt like you were being "wimpy" before, but maybe this is your wake-up call to allow yourself the time to heal.

You know, in the grand scheme of things, taking it easy and allowing yourself to be pampered during the initial 6-8 week recovery period following a hyst is really not a long time, especially when you put in perspective of the benefits of healing properly and complication free and how this will affect you in the future.

I think the pillow are sitting outside your home, so let them be your reminder to continue to get lots of . As far as sleep, hopefully you'll start sleeping soon; if not, give your Dr. a call to see what he/she recommends.

Keep us posted on how you're doing, ok?

Best wishes and lots of s

You told me so...

(((((DEBI))))

I am so sorry this has happen to you. My prayers are with you to recovery fully. However, I did add an extra "gem" to your crown due to your return to the castle.........(smiling)

Please take it easy and follow all of your physician's rules. Please do not over exert yourself or bend, stoop or lift. Your internal healing process has a long way to go.

Don't worry about venting, that is what we are here for. We will support you through this all the way and afterwards if necessary.

You've been through a lot, and we hope that now you have gotten over this bump in the road, you will continue to gain your strength back each day.

If you continue with bouts of insomnia, please contact your and request something to help you sleep. I had those problems too following my hyst.

From one sister to another,

"Jam"

Listen to your Sisters!

I am facing fairly major surgery as a result of complications from my hysterectomy. Complex multiple hernias. Now I am not saying that I could have avoided this situation, but I DID have a real bad cold - the coughing-your-head-off kind - within two weeks after my surgery. Nobody told me and I didn't think to suppress the cough (I'm allergic to so many medications) and a binder was the furthest thing from my mind. As it turns out, I guess I may as well have been running around doing laundry and pushing the lawn mower!! Just kidding, but I'm here to tell you that you only have ONE chance to heal right. So DO IT!!

Joselle
