2 Week Checkup!

Hi ladies!

Just thought I would let everyone know I went to my 2 week checkup on Friday. Went really well, my Dr did put me on some estragen as my overies seems to be sleeping and in shock and iron pills. I still take my stool softner as I am to nervous to stop! I got my lab results back on my uterus and he said WOW! He said when he took out my uterus it was extrememly enlarged, like 3 to 4 times bigger (length and width, not thickness). He said the lab results said I had alot more polyps, they all came back benign...thank goodness! He said no wonder nothing worked that we tried after he took the other polyps out, because they came back. Thank god this part is all over with, now just the healing.

Is it ok to take my multi-vitamins as well with my other meds I am taking? I forgot to ask my Dr this at my appointment. I thought someone might know before I called him up.

Thankyou everyone for this site, I don't know what I would of done without it, it is wonderful!

2 Week Checkup!

Hi Terry,

Great news that your post-op visit went well! It sounds like you have a caring Dr. who is listening to you and symptoms you are having regarding your ovaries.

As far as your multi-vitamin, I would see if it has iron in it. If it does, then I would call your Dr. to inquire if you should still be taking it along with a supplemental iron tab. You might also want to check on continuing to take stool softeners, though I most likely think that your Dr. will agree that you should continue since iron can be constipating.

Best wishes and s

Thanks TinaW

Thanks for your response. I will call my Dr tomorrow and ask about my vitamins, didn't even think of the extra iron. He said at my appoinment to continue the stool softner so I have the ok on that. Yes this Dr is the most caring Dr I have found. I have been going through problems since I was in the 7th grade and went through many doctors who just never really cared enough to find the problem. I went to him and he did the surgery to look inside and found my problems and we went from there. He even held my hand as they were putting me to sleep for my hysterectomy, he is wonderful. From my experience there are not many doctors out there like him, I will keep him for as long as he or I am around!

Take care and thanks again for the response.

Terry
