Get to return to work

Sisters, have had 3 major surgeries since November 18th. For the sisters that are not familiar with me.
1. TAH
2. Breast cancer found did lumpectomy
3. Had to go back in because they didn't remove all the cancer the first time.
I have been released to return to work tomorrow. Light duty. Since the cancer I can no longer take any kind of hormones. I am so miserable. You'd think I had a rain cloud hanging over my head when I start to sweat. I am not even allowed to take herbal stuff to help. They put me on Effexor which is an anti-depressant that they say helps with the hot flashes for women that can not take hormones. It has not even kicked in a little. I have been taking them for 3 weeks and only can pray for some relief. Good thing is I get to go back to work and be active around people once again. I'll just need to wear sleeveless blouses and a jacket so I can cool off when needed.
I will go for my chemo evaluation on Monday the 3rd and start the chemo either the end of the week or the following week. It is scary but now that they say they got the cancer(which they never really know) I can sleep a little less stressed. All the hassles I had with the TAH seems so long ago. Now I have a port in my left shoulder and surgery was done on the right. So I must sleep on my back. At least I can use my lower body to get me up and down. It sure has helped strengthen those muscles down there. Just wanted to update everyone and thank you once again for all your support.

Get to return to work

I just had a tah/bso on 1/21. I am also a breast cancer survivor, dx 10/01. I had a bilateral mastectomy w/o reconstruction. My port is in the left side of my chest. I'm not sure what kind of chemo you're having, but you may not feel up to working, especially since you're still healing from the surgery. I had 4 rounds of AC and then 12 weeks of taxol and herceptin. If I can be of any help with the cancer etc, or if you want to chat, just let me know. Good luck!
