not coping very well...
i think it's just hitting me, that in 70 days or so, i won't have a choice about having kids.
Not that i have much of a choice now...i have endo and have always known it would be difficult to have kids, but still, when i drift off to sleep for the surgery....that will be it...no going back.
So now i'm just in limbo...no surgery, pain, and no kids....
i just don't know how i'm going to cope with the next two months.....
any ideas???
Blade

Hi Blade I have to echo what (((Bev))) said, therapy can be very helpful at a time like this.
You've probably read over in the Pre-Op forum, we're always telling ladies that "the waiting is the worst part". It truly is. And you have a lot of time to wait, which gives you time to go over and over in your mind all the different feelings and possible outcomes and what if?s. Second guess your decision, and try to figure out ways to avoid the inevitable.
I wish there were some way, if you know you have to have it, that you could have your surgery sooner. Once you can get that behind you, you can start to move forward with your recovery and getting on with your life, seeing what other options lie ahead of you.
In a way, I was lucky. I had only a week and a half between when I found out I needed surgery and the date it was done. I didn't have time to get 'freaked out', I was too busy trying to make arrangements for my recovery period. Then, after my surgery, I found I needed to channel my energy into trying to help myself have a good recovery.
I'm glad you're here, I'm sure you will get lots of encouragement from other ladies here. I also think that if you can swing it, some one on one time with a good therapist could really help. I know it's helped me at various times in the past. I always keep it as an option when things seem like they're getting a little too much to bear. Meantime, keep posting, we're listening to you and we understand
 s,
-Linda

Just wanted to send a your way and let you know your thought of and cared about. Your definately not alone here. A therapist is a good idea or a minister if that's not possible. Of course, our arms are always waiting and willing to you and our shoulders are broad here. We always keep the hot too, so stop by anytime. We'll be here.

Blade:
We've chatted before so you know both of us are in the same situation. I have to agree with the other ladies, seek out a therapist. Mine is wonderful. Therapist can't change our lives, but can help us deal with our lives in a much better fashion.
Please get help and keep coming here.
I also agree, if you can move up your surgery date, that would be a good idea.
Best wishes,
Michelle
