Post Op Concerns

Hello. I just found this site, and hope that it will give me comfort. I have known that I have had a prolapsed uterus for years now. It has gotten worse, and two days ago, my doctor said it's time to fix it. He said he could perform sugery and "correct" everything. But, he said I would probably have to have surgery done again in about 15 years. He also said he could remove my uterus. I was discussing this with my significant other, and he was concerned about how different the sex would feel having it removed. I, too, am concerned. I was wondering if anyone had any light to shed on this subject. I don't have much discomfort with sex now (because we have learned my limitations). And with my uterus being so low, I wondered if it's absence would make a difference for my partner.

Post Op Concerns

I had a prolapsed uterus. My DH thinks it is better NOW. It was taking up the space that should have been his, all along! This is just our experience.

You might want to post in post op and see what kind of responses you get there.

Thank you

Thank you for your input. I guess as my partner tries to explain it, I think he feels like everything was adding to his sensations. And he thinks it will feel "Hollow" once the uterus is removed. Does that make any sense?

Don't worry

I had everthing, including my cervix removed. I think sex is better than ever and my Dh says the same. Good luck with your surgery and recovery! Beth
